My props ventures have been a sideline to my large-scale carnival work.
The crossover between outdoors and indoors proved to be too exciting
In those days, the two worlds only ever so slightly overlapped.
One of the advantages of working outdoors meant my skill-set adapted well to the demands of Ceremonies,
where I coined the nickname "ceremonies ninja"
“With my gratitude and thanks for your work, your skills, and your eternal can-do attitude”

"Iola is extremely extremely proactive, never defeatist or compliant. She will find ways to solve a problem through dialogue and experimentation. She is communicative and able to adapt her linguistic knowledge to overcome language barriers. She leads a team when the need arises to ensure the delivery of the work.
A collaborator who gives security, with whom it is a pleasure to work."

"International ceremonies work requires a unique blend of adaptability and determination.
Iola adapted to whatever situation I threw at her, accepted the limitations, and did great work with good humour. She’s got a talent for getting the best use from what’s available - whether it’s an odd but abundant material, or a team of eager but completely untrained local crew who don’t speak English. I could always rely on Iola to work some magic when I needed it. "
